Help with silent hunter TWS and Generic file patcher

Hello,

I've recently bought myself a Ubisoft copy (not steam) of Silent hunter 5 and attempted to mod the game to no avail.

I couldn't update the game from within the files because it says URL not detected and when I download the newer versions of the game online and try to apply them, it says that the previous version cannot be detected.

However, that is not the problem really.

When I put my mouse of the exe file, it says that my version is the latest, so it seems that Uplay downloaded the latest version of the game for me (1.2.0).

The problem I have is that, when I attempt to download the TWS mod and apply to generic patcher, only 8 of the 9 files I need work. One of them doesn't work (the sh 5 one) and I get that message:

"D;\JeuxSilent Hunter 5\CameraManager.act is different version than expected!
Patch: Stadimeter can be used as sextant
Change:1
Reason: Bytes read does not equal bytes expected by patch
Bytes read: 318B068B5020
Bytes expected: 8D8EF8000000."

The mod does work and I get to start the game and play, but each time I get too close to an enemy ship, the game boots me out and sends me back to windows.

This is because you incorrectly did not find the SIlent Hunter 5 folder.
Go to the main game folder.
Open the File Patcher.
Open the SH5 folder
Open the Generic Patcher cfg file.
In yours you will have 1 file showing a different path, just change the path to the correct one and save the file.

I have just reinstalled the game after along break 4 or 5 years :(, and went too install TWD generic file patcher which i think is a must, and i'm met with this.

"D:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\sh5.exe is different version than expected!

Patch: Independent engine controls
Change 2
Reason Bytes read does not equal bytes expected by patch
Bytes read: 000000000000000000000000000
Bytes expected: C3CCCCCCCCC3CCCCCCC3CCC

I have tried a couple of things Peter's fix above, and tried with Uplay disabled also antivirus stopped, sadly no luck. I have the disk version of the game, and patched to v1.2.

Hopefully some one will beable to get me sorted, and back in my U-Boat ;).

I have got it working :), i just down loaded the game from Ubisoft Launcher this morning, instead of installing it from the disk. Working like a charm now;).

Issue only having 8/9

Recently I just got this issue. Fresh install and looking at that file have not helped. Does anyone know why the one file that is giving me an error code is the .exe one, but I ham pointing everything in the right file folder. Only that one gives me an error code when using the file patcher.
