2nd. "most Helpfull" review of SH5 at steam:

Code:

The mod that takes this game from a disaster to a worthy sim,
"The Wolves of Steel" is wholly incompatible with the Steam version
without serious finangling.

So even if you are willing to mod the game
to working condition,
you need to get it direct from uPlay,
not Steam.

:)

Try some of these: Deutsch-Gotisch Heavy or Grobe Deutschmeister

Cant find the font I used when I was editing promo image in the first post...:hmmm:

Thanks Vecko. I tried the FRAKFUR (without "T") but is lightly different. I will use it or those recommended by you.

Many thanks!

Grobe Deutschmeister is my favorite now and I'll probably use it for TWoS in the future...:yep:

Patrol mission from which objective? Eastern British Coastal Waters, NW approaches, SW app? This should be specified in your first radio message when you enter the designated area...

Objective is Eastern British Coastal Waters. I got the message now via enigma code, its 120km 24h. Thx for the quick help vecko. :salute:

How big is the patrol area from the "assigned patrol areas" again? 50 or 100 km from the middle? I cant remeber. :hmmm:

I think it varies. I have seen anywhere from 120km to 200 km so far.

So I usually set my radius at 100km to be safe :) as some of my enigma messages seem to get corrupt after the word radius.

Playing with Real Navigation and the Enigma machines, got sunk by some damn Polish warships, but since its my first real go with a lot of the realism settings, I'm not too bummed.

Now to get better at manual torpedo targeting :Kaleun_Cheers:

It was in the first patrol area you're given, I wasn't sure if they were warships until I was fairly close. Should have put my periscope down though, I would have survived otherwise!

But, lessons for the future (wouldn't have been bad if I had managed my firing solution correctly either :haha:). At least I managed to decode my Enigma message prior to that.

I never hit any of those destroyers at first mission in my career and i played it maybe 10x.

The point is, u-bote was not designed to sink them, in other hand, they was designed to hunt u-bote, so trying to attack destroyer is something like bet all in on one number in rulette - nonsense.

This is also one thing i dont like about das boot film - that attack of destroyer, which is more over hidden somewhere in fog. No mentaly healthy commander would try such a kamikaze try...

Of course if you have not 100% realism, you can let cpu calculate perfect hit, but this is not simulator... :salute:

Eheheheh :D you right Fitzcarraldo

But in WW2 ...from Wikipedia

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_the_Atlantic:

"The outcome of the battle was a strategic victory for the Allies—the German blockade failed—but at great cost: 3,500 merchant ships and 175 warships were sunk for the loss of 783 U-boats."

Hmmm better stay away by warships

:salute:

Remember Gunther Prien, Erich Topp, Schepke, Teddy Suhren......

Your main objetive is the merchant traffic, but you can´t flee in front of a nice warship. Be more agressive!!!! :Kaleun_Mad::Kaleun_Mad::Kaleun_Mad:

Good hunt of fishing boats! The Ubootwaffe became a kindergarten, bah!
