Help/Some questions about damage control
 

So I'll admit that I'm not the best captain and my boat usally take damage and when ever this happen I get this problem with the Bow and Stern Quarters, they never want to drain themselfs even when I got crew in there and I made sure I'm not on silent running.

So what am I missing here I'm sure it must be obvious and I'm just blind to it!

Oh and this is with GWX Gold.

Make sure you have a repair crew on duty as well. Their slots are in the upper left. If the floodings aren't too severe, a good, strong repair crew should be able to handle the floodings. Mind you though, they make a terrible racket while repairing so if you can, make sure there are no listening destroyers anywhere near your boat.

I do have a a completly filled repair crew (also maxed the bar) I even tried switching out the people and still they won't try to fix the flooding

Do you order them to repair the damaged compartments?

The lazy guys don't start to work by themselves, but the damaged compartment - visualized at their station - must be clicked.
Not in silent running conditions, they start to brandish a little red tool immediately.
