@Von
You too mate, hope 2012 is a good one for you :salute:. Have to ask, your patrol reports are really nicely documented, doesn't seem like the usual commander thing :hmmm: Best regards. Fubar2Niner |

Go to ....SH3\data\cfg\careers\"commander name" Find the log of your patrol and open with Notepad You can now add log entries and change the ones already listed. Be careful to use the correct format and the numeric sequence. Make your changes and save. Update your patrol logs with SH3 Commander again. Don't worry if the new entries don't show up in Commander. Run SH3 without the commander and check your patrol report. It will all be there. Good luck. |
Returned to the game again after a few months break. Started new career from the beginning of the war using the latest realism mod (V16A3) and torpedo failure mod. Two combat patrols so far, the first one bringing a nice 22852 tons and the second one an amazing 62606 tons, largely due to the fact that I was able to use the deck gun during the whole patrol.
The torpedo failure mod works nicely, I had 5 failures out of 14 torpedoes, 1 (more likely) or 2 of them being misses and the rest malfunctions. The reason I'm asking is, that if there is a mod allowing one to request a new patrol zone mid patrol, I'd very much like to try it. Nice patrols, by the way. Especially patrol 3, with 112000 tons sunk. Can only dream of figures like that in a type VII, even more so with the torpedo failure mod. |
U47 - Lt.z.S. Willi Hartmann - Sept. 1939 042137 - in the Southern approches to Scapa Flow The area crawled with guard vessels and one A&B and V&W unknowingly came into our sights. As the weather deteriorated and night approached we backtracked out into the North Sea for reloading and battery charging. |

Yes there is such a mod: WB's Secondary Patrol Orders It comes with 4 sub files for 4 different theatres : North Atlantik , Med , America and Afirca. It needs SH3 Commander to run properly. One more thing: You must sink at least one ship for the mod to give you a new grid. You don't get any more renown for reching and patrolling your newly assigned grid. The problem is that I don't remember where I found it. Some help here please. In this patrol I made up the order myself! Hehe :DL |

Unfortunately, this is not compatible with Realism fix V16A3 since it works by replacing the standard "Keep up the good work!" response (message 4198 in en_menu.txt) with a new message ordering the secondary patrol grid. Realism fix V16A3 does not use the standard reply message, but uses new messages (4835-4862) instead, so the new patrol grid won't show. I guess I'll just have to take a look at possible patrol grids in flotilla.cfg and roll a die to assign myself a new grid if needed (no shipping sighted in patrol zone for a week or so, for example). Those who don't use the realism fixes should definitely take a look at this mod though. :) |
