U-285 is currently south of Reykjavic, patrolling the convoy routes.

In my entire SHIII career, I had never even spotted a carrier. Now I've sunk two Bogues in just over 2 weeks game time. A Fiji light cruiser as well. I'm loving the mid Atlantic.

My largest warship kill previous was an auxiliary cruiser.

3 task forces lose their largest ships, with no retaliation, in just over two weeks. I wonder how Tommy would have handled that?

I've spotted heavies near Gibraltar, but was never in a position to los.

Heading home to pounce on the large convoy just beyond visual range.

VONHARRIS 09-30-11 03:26 AM

I accidentaly deleted my last career so I had to start a new one.
U-103 IXB is currently attacking a convoy in grid BE59.
The date is 19 December 1939.

PhantomLord 09-30-11 04:01 AM

Oh dear... i just wanted to finish my actual SH4 patrol and return to port. Sunk 40k tons off the american coast.
April 1942... sunk by aircraft bombing... all hands lost.

Well... iŽll draw my full attention to SH3 now :D

Eschem Schnuz's Letters, 29th Flotilla

Dear Uncle Karl,

Shot down 9 planes this patrol. Also buried another couple of my men at sea. I should really learn to control these "sudden urges".

Some good hunting on my way to the patrol grid, but ab-so-lute-ly nothing when i got there.
Enemy aircraft eventually decided the length of it by destroying everything on the conning tower.
Returned to port after that.

U-87 Type VIIB, 29th Flotilla reporting from Patrol 21.
Realism @ 50%, original game specs.
9-day cruise. Funnily enough, the hull held firm.

Over and out.

Latest Log update, dated 06/08/1941 recieved from Radio Officer, "Karl Oesten" On behalf of the "Officer of the Watch-tower"

Following further patrolling and scanning, U-111 decided to put into VIGO in spain for refuelling/rearming with the supply ship located there. Unfortunately, the patrol (now logged as no7) was not to be resumed for some two week's whilst essential maintenance was carried out and a delay incurred awaiting parts. :nope:

Soon in early september, U-111 returned to sea. A convoy was detected dead-ahead in Grid BF11. However, despite shaddowing & chasing for some two days, due to the course of the convoy (IE they were always seemingly heading away from the U-boat) HESSLER decided to abandon his pursuit.

On september 6th, Whilst sailing some 100km south of Cork a "merchant" was spotted by a sharp-eyed lookout. The distance was closed and it was identified as a small "motor vessel". Despite it's size, we decided to attack and some eight hit's later via the deck gun, she was sunk.

U-111 now continues to sail in position some 90-100km south of Eire.
