Ship names in roster cfg files - any purpose?

Hi guys, quick question: in ship roster entries (cfg files in roster folder), there are ship names listed - for example AMCPatroclus has following:

[Unit 1]
Name=HMS Patroclus
DOC=19390912
DOD=19401104

[Unit 2]
Name=HMS Hector
DOC=19391220
DOD=19420405

[Unit 3]
Name=HMS Antenor
DOC=19400101
DOD=19411001

I haven't seen ship names in game - are these entries just an unfinished feature or are they actually used for something? (asking because I don't know whether to bother making these entries in my ships).

Those names are quite unimportant except in two cases, for playable submarines (your u-boat designation will be taken from those randomly within the appropriate date) and for ships and subs assigned for seaborn reffitng (the game will tell you then "meet with u-something or km something). :yep:
