"Did you hear someone say flooding?"
"I don't know...what chapter are you on?"

Little back ground: The guy looking at the camera is the Leading Petty Officer for Submarine School Restriction and the guy reading is me, the Leading Petty Officer for Transient Personnel Unit at Submarine School. The picture is taken in the Damage Control Wet Trainer located at Submarine School, Groton CT. Thank god my buddy didn't turn on the flange leak or we would be getting new copies of the Subsim Almanac. As it was that was just one leak of many that he could have activated but in the interest of keeping my camera safe and dry he kept his sub humor in check. I must also give credit to the guy taking the photo who is a Aviation Structural Mechanic who was nervous being in a room that floods. Guess not a true submariner at heart. ;)

I live in Finland, so it might take a while until the Subsim Almanac surfaces from my mail box :shifty:
And the fact that I ordered the Almanac today and not weeks ago, won't help it coming faster either.

I also pre-ordered the so called "normal" collector's edition of SH IV from Finnish webshop some days ago and I'm waiting it too... and since it went to gold, I'm kinda hoping it would be at shops and at my hands soon.

So "slow days" at the moment. Fortunately I have just received "Iron Coffins" -book by Herbert A. Werner and I shift between reading it and playing SH3 :D

Do I get another prize if I take a picture of the mug?

hi neal,
Yhanks for the reply, received your book last saturday, great
book still reading it, keep it up.
I took these photos at the royal navy submarine museum in Gosport
Hampshire England. The big black thing in the background is hms alliance
(could do with a paint job) and the others are of the E17 conning tower and me
(yes, I know you call it the sail); this was a ww1 boat which was sunk,
and other one is of the P and O class which
I was on for 20 years out of my 22 in the royal navy.

hope you like them,

all the best,
Arkroyal

ps two types of ships in the royal navy submarines and targets
Thanks, mate!
Neal

He has build 2 submarines so far and is working on the 3rd.
Its a honor for him to hold this book....because hes the main designer of the Submarine "Kraka", mentioned in the Subsim Almanac!!
He actully never read the story I sent in, so that same evening I took this picture was dedicted to reading :)

So what will his next projects bring...only time will tell.
