:nope:
Now thats some kind of armour on that thing

Tad overdone methinks
If one of those torps dont kill ya then nothing will

Mush Martin 03-02-07 06:38 PM

NO as is evidenced by many experiences I get killed often

the torp should have liquified me or more likely turned me
into a fine red mist on the wind.

bigboywooly 03-02-07 06:40 PM

:hmm: possibly blew before impact

Mush Martin 03-02-07 06:44 PM

doesnt make sense though they dont detonate at end run
they detonate on the impact with the sea floor.
is that not right
the damage isnt right on the fantail either
its a hit.
Just a well built machine.
Uber is meant to stay on the surface and she does.
Bigtime.

Maybe I should take the armour down a bit but shes meant to survive twenty minutes
in heavy combat at the hands of a Rookie or RDP.

bigboywooly 03-02-07 06:46 PM

Have you tweaked the torps speed too ?

Reece 03-02-07 07:25 PM

I can wait

I am going off to rush Uberboot Beta 1.3 into service
to correct the obvious and known issues.
May as well wait for that one, seems pointless to install an old version now!

Yes and no Uber torp was set for 40 knots
over 10000 yds

but the truth is I have long since rejected the idea of using them
in Uberboot mod as it skews the player experience and makes
you feel to invulnerable .

obviously if invulnerability is a concern for me
I still have some things to tweek.

The torp in question may have been previously set to 70 knots
as it ran me down at 28 knots after going the other way
on a 1000 yd straightrun. we would have seperated very
fast at the beginning. and at first air attack maneuvers are
minor and dont bleed much speed.
