U-51 and historically correct U-69 Tower Emblem for TWoS

Hi,

today I released a merge of my two graphic mods U-51 tower skin "Atje and Bambo" (https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/dow...o=file&id=5757) and historically correct tower skin of U-69 (https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/dow...o=file&id=5871) for TWoS.

U-51 tower skin "Atje and Bambo" is in this release, not an exchange of a present skin. It is a new one to choice in upgrade menu of Type VIIB. The emblem "Atje and Bambo" can be also used just as tower emblem only.

I'm thinking about creating more historical submarine skins for TWoS, like U-407:

I'm currently working on an adaptation with two or three more skins. According to current status, I will add: U-33 (Type VIIA), U-48 (Type VIIB) and U-407 (Type VIIC).
So this download will be deleted on the website.


I hope I can publish it this month. :salute:

I'm not entirely sure whether I should leave the topic altogether and concentrate on GSE instead? :hmmm:

Because in my original version of this mod, it was not possible for me to add really new skins, but only overwritten existing ones. I noticed this when I wanted to integrate a total of three more. These then either overwritten existing skins or were simply not selectable and the engine ignore it. :wah:

In addition, SH5 has this annoying bug that the skins are not always displayed and SH5 loads the default skin. And if I only overwrite the standard skin with the graphics file, then all submarines of the same type will have it.

Of course, that would work too. But there is still this stupid bug in SH5 that the texture is not always loaded correctly, and your own submarine has the default texture and not the changed one until you load the save game again.
