My eel at the mug

Hi all, Lorka here, I've been playing sub sim games since the ol commodore 64 days, my first sim was wolfpack, and favorite for graphics is Silent Hunter 4, v1.5 with real environment, and caustics, favorite for immersion is dangerous waters. I originally came here to find out about how to change the number of reserve torpedoes on a VIIc for SH3. I'm 34, and a stay at home dad, ret. ARNG 1436th eng co. Amateur modder, havent done anything real big, just mostly cosmetic and UI tweaks, along with the occasional foray into nuke deck gun shells(guilty pleasure is shooting into a convoy and watching it blow up). I got the lorka handle from way back in the day, playing a text only MUD, my first character was a female necromancer, I thought it sounded evil, turns out its really a ukranian name or sum such, lol oh well ive stuck with it. the 42 got added on because sometimes I found someone else had taken it,(GET BACK EVIL OTHER LORKA PERSON)and, of course, because it is THE answer.(wiki hitchhikers guide to the galaxy).......hmm well steve said that the most interesting one gets a mug, and i find his lack of definition disturbing./takes swipe at star wars /swipe. The most interesting thing about me is that i have no mental filter whilst speaking, sort of a cross between turrets, and alzheimers. any old thing that pops into my head while Im allready talking comes out. I was at the folks house last week and i was asking my mom when they wanted nevaeh(my daughter) to come over, and in the middle,, I said something like so, mom, when do you want to-(expletive deleted) I left my wallet on the table, now I gotta go back home-take the baby this week? P.S. theres meds for it, but who wants to walk around bored all day, allways knowing what they're going to say?

I feel like I'm missing something here. :hmmm:
Am I going to be posting "welcome aboard" all day?

Frankly, sir, I find this latest string of new member messages quite a fair bit suspicious, if not an utterly unsubtle subtle attempt to achieve some sinister yet unknown purpose...

...Though it may be a mere coincidence...

Ah, that's my fault, I once again take an action without telling anyone (can you imagine what it must be like to be married to me? "Honey, did you book a trip to the polo match and invite our friends? Why didn't you say anything to ME about this?!" :dead:).

Aye, I added a bit on the forum signup welcome inviting new members to make an introductory post here, so we can welcome them into the forum...something I should have done about 39,400 members back :D

Hello and welcome Lorka42,

thanks for introducing, i hope you can manage your life with this missing mental filter (sometimes i'm also accused for this, but that is how i am ;))

Being paranoid does not mean they are not after you :rotfl2:

Greetings,

Ah, well, seeing that there is a logical explanation in this that doesn't end with 'SPAMBOT! KILL!', everything is quite alright.

While browsing posts this morning I ran across Neal mentioning twice about the forum welcome signup. Rather than see as we have the "hi I'm new here" popping up everywhere, would it be better if the forums were locked to the newbies until Neals request was filled???

I know some here are going to say that a full blown entrance exam complete with physical, evaluation, and swim test amongst other things should be required..........Ships
PS: Good morning Raptor1.

I do believe you are mistaken, sir. The hour presently is quite clearly 22:10, which would be either night or evening, depending upon your preferance, and it is neither good, but most aweful indeed.

Oh, and I most nearly forgot, welcome to the forum Mr. lorka42.

Sailor Steve 01-18-10 12:06 AM

WELCOME ABOARD!:sunny:(again, I think. What was I saying about a mug, again?)

Oh, and you can ignore Raptor1. He's crazy as a loon. No, wait, I think he was just saying that about me...

I respect Raptor1's comment, as he was having today the kind of day I had on Friday the 15th. He is honest and straightforward. He is currently off duty and presumably resting. I pray he has a better day today and speaking with reference his time zone.........Cheers raptor1 and good morning again sir.........Ships...
