Having Issues setting up TMO
 
Hey,

New to SH4 and been ages since I played SH5.
I am trying to play SH4 with the TMO update. I have not moded this game before with JSGME and I am having issues.

I got the mod from here: https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/sho...d.php?t=250635

I tried my best to follow the instructions, but I very confused as each readme seems to reference a "main" readme, but I am unable to find it and the three folders with required mods, optional mods and required add-ons are confusing me.

I only added what I thought was required excluding the add-ons as the readme suggested they were optional. I copied these mods into the MODS folder directly and activated each before activating the overall TMO mod. This appeared to deactivate some of the required mods I activated previously.

I am able to start the game and get into the campaign, but when I try to go to the bridge the game crashes. I tried running the game before doing the mods and it ran fine. I deleted the generated save folder before installing the mods.

My question is how do I know if TMO is installed correctly and if it isn't how do I do it?

I'm currently running the TMO BH Update and agree, the directions on the different versions was confusing. It appears BH is no longer active on here, hopefully some of the rest of us can help.

Might help if you post your mod order in JSGME which you can do by clicking on 'Tasks...' and then 'Export activated mods list to >'

Here's my mod order:

Generic Mod Enabler - v2.6.0.157
[C:\Games\SHTMOBH\MODS]

Trigger Maru Overhaul 2.5 UpdateBH V2.0
Nav Map Make-Over TMO Update 2.0
NMMO Patch TMO Update V2.0
TMO Update BH V2.0 PATCH 01
EAX_Clang_Splash_Dud for TMO Update
Radio Messages TMO Update 2.0
AAtoDeckguns+Radio
Torpedoes Early_TNTV4B


I believe everything up through the Radio Messages mod is required. The last two come with BHU but are optional.

Beware, I am having a heck of a time with the torpedoes in this mod. Getting only about a 20% hit rate when duds are enabled and trying to figure out if it's working as designed or if there's an issue with my install. When I had the original TMO 2.5 installed (not the Updated BH version) I had a fair amount of duds but not to this extent.

BH had made a comment once that they were going to update again, sad they are no longer around. Hope they are having fun where they are now.
