Transfer to Brisbane (GFO)

I started in 1941 in the Asiatic Fleet. It's now July 1942 and I'm based in Fremantle. Getting tired of the long transits to and from the Philippines, where my assigned patrol areas usually are.
How can I engineer a transfer to Brisbane? The only option I have in the "office" is Pearl. Will it come up eventually or can I change something in one of the cfg files?

what boat class are you driving?
if it is an S-boat, you should have been able to transfer to Brisbane April 15, 1942.
the other boats might be able to transfer to Brisbane by mid-42.

KM has that correct, and IF I'm remembering correctly, the stock game should let the Salmon, Sargo and Porpoise go over the July 1 to July 15, 1942, boat-specific... but I don't remember which does when... You do have to be in the Captain's Office in-port between missions, so it might be that you have to take another patrol and can then do it... If you have a good score, you could take the assignment out until past the date for the boat to transfer, then come back in and transfer. You might still get the same mission assignment, which might be a bit of a bother from Brisbane, but at least you would be there...

In a porpoise class, was offered it after 3 patrols in an S class.

It's Aug '42 but I'm out on patrol. I'll see if the option is available when I'm back in base.

Thanks.
