SH3 with GWX keeps crashing to desktop
 

Hi everyone,
I've just installed SH3 with a couple mods yesterday (not any of them changing the resolution, I'm playing on the default game res). The mods seem to be working fine, but the game keeps switching to the desktop screen out of nowhere, and once I try to reopen the game tab it reverts to the desktop endlessly.
Has anyone else been encountering this issue?

1.is your SH3 Version dvd or download also are you running it compatabilty mode for windows 7
if your SH3 is the DVD Version install it outside program files x86 like on just Drive C:/


2. are you using the GWX Mod and the Commander Mod if so you need the following 4Gig Patch GWX Commander Mod Config File

Thanks a lot for your reply. In the end I managed to make it work (somehow?) but then after trying to launch a career too many bugs appeared so I decided to uninstall everything and start from scratch.
That was initially with the Steam version of SH3, but seeing that modding the Steam version was really complicated, I decided to buy the Ubisoft one.
I think my issues were also due to the fact that I was trying to run too many mods at once (GWX, Commander, and at least 10 others).

Right now, I put GWX, ARB 1920*1080 and some sound mods and it seems to be working fine so far, the map bug has disappeared. I'm thinking of trying to install Commander later on, after I have a solid grasp of the game.
