Problems with Sh3 commander and BDU messages

Hello, I have installed SH3 commander along with the V16B1 patch and steibelizer patch (sorry forgot the spelling) as well as GWX.

I am positive they are both correctly installed. They work great, AS LONG AS I launch my game from the SH3.exe inside of my steam folder. If I use SH3 comm my BDU messages are blank.

If I try and boot up the game with SH3 Commander.exe, it boots up and runs my game fine, but I don't get any messages from BDU. I get the BDU correctly messages when I run my SH3.exe, but not when I run from the SH3 Commander.exe.

What's going on here? Why does SH3 Com make my BDU messages go blank? I don't get it. Please help!

Hi Abominable sorry to ask but when you install the Commander mod did you also install the Commander mod config file for GWX download link below

http://www.thegreywolves.com/downloads/

Also when you installed the Commander Mod did you tell it where your SH3 Campaign game is installed thats important so the Commander and your SH3 Campaign game install talk to each other.

I did not. I am installing it now. What should I do with it, and will this fix my problem?

yes, I have 4gb.

I installed the sh3 patch files for gwx and I'm testing it now. Get back to you soon.

The problem persists, and now I am noticing I am now getting black BDU messages when I boot SH3 and not SH3 cmdr.

I can't seem to figure out these black messages. I followed the appending instructions to a T, and i just can't get this to work!

Uninstalled CMDR and reinstalled the patches. BDU messages come in now, but when I tried to install commander again, and then put in the GWX patch, booted it up and BOOM, no BDU messages.

I reverted back to no CMDR, and BDU messages come back.

I can't figure out why SH3 CMDR is doing this to my game, makes no sense. I have all the proper patches installed, everything works great until I try and introduce SH3 CMDR. it seems to overwrite all my files or something.

Any ideas?

Fixed the SH3 commander issue, I have no idea how.

I just kept reinstalling it and testing it and eventually it worked. No idea what I did or why it fixed itself. Th eonly thing I can think that I changed was I changed the sh3.exe and the sh3cmdr.exe file to run in the same "windows xp service pack" mode to be the same ones and now it's working. Not sure if that fixed it or not.
