Appreciate Killerfish response and support

I'm very impressed with KF's attentiveness, support and response to community interactions and rapid updates to their appealing game.
Everything I've seen so far is making the game better. They certainly got my money through their improvements.

I expect continued sales to govern how much and how long they can make significant updates.

While I'm still learning the game and its fine points, my only personal major wish at this point is friendly forces. The ability to escort Allied surface or friendly Boomers and wolf packs (understandably not a US doctrine- but we have not had an all-out real life shooting naval war yet) seems missing which is a big appeal. I also understand the immense undertaking that would be to add these models and weapons and support the very complex AI to AI interactions involved as well as success/failure logic. Supporting this effort through the modding channel would also be daunting.

Right now it's the world against my single submarine which in the long term limits the future life after owners have invested large amounts of time and skill. This "me against the world" feeling in a lot of games has been a criticism of many war games in the past. Some games like Falcon4 and DCS have completely obliterated that feeling from war gaming.

Understanding the effort and focus of the current design, this is not a demand, but planting a seed for the future of the product.

After more reading here I wonder if penalizing the player for returning to base (campaign continuing to advance with unexpected outcomes) is still a problem?

I will second this. Amazing work they have done since release, especially on the new UI pieces. Absolutely makes this THE game I have bought in a long time.

Gladly buy any DLC you all release now.

There are time you will not be able to complete a mission due to damage or running low on weapon (and there are no other asset available to take over). It's part of the campaign design. Despite doing everything you can, there are times that you will fail at your mission. it's the nature of war.

I don't think my SDRN CMDR looks at it that way. :D

while we're in a generous mood, i'll just go ahead and drop the hint that it's possible to convert and retopo those high poly models you used for the normal maps into higher detail in game sub models. talking dcs quality level of detail

I don't use highpoly bakes for ships and subs.
