Silent Hunter 1 How to make photo reckon

I started career in Silent Hunter 1 by SSI and everything goes ok, but one time I received radio message, that my mission is to make photo reckon. I went to that harbor and what now? How to I make this reckon, how to make photos?

You sail your sub into the target area. This area is indicated on the Chart with the T icon.
When you are getting close you can see in your periscope or TBT (Target Bearing Transmitter) a red crosshair of the exact area where to take the picture.

When you come even closer to that area, there will come a red box in the periscope/TBT view finder (on the right side) to indicate that you can take the picture. This box is kind of the same size/color as the torpedo target triangle under a ship. You can only take a picture in daylight time. ( and not too foggy)

To take the picture, press tab on your keyboard when this red box is visible. I think there is also a button in the 1MC menu, but i'm not completely sure about that.

In addition, do not forget to send at the same time a radio message to your US base, with exact coordinates of your position. It's needed by the USN sub chart to validate the recon photography (if not send, mission is not valid)

I have never done such thing. it is handled by the game/ (my radio man)
there is a log in the logbook with location, time stamp, but have never have to do a manual action to 'transmit' any information to somewhere

What is the SH/CE version you are using ?

it is V1.11 and V1.31.

can you tell my your procedure, show me what you are talking about?
