Roll Call submissions from you, for the new book

Ahoy maties,

We are putting the finishing touches on the newest Submarine Almanac, and we will be including a few pages of Roll Call, like we did in the last books. I invite you to submit your entry for the book. Here's how you do it:

Send an e-mail to subsim@subsim.com with the subject: Neal, here's my Roll Call entry.

In your e-mail, write a short paragraph. This year's theme is:

Thoughts and memories about one of your favorite or first subsim, or some general thoughts about sub games.

It can also be about yourself, a cool moment in your subsim gaming experience or naval experience, some observations on the Subsim community.

Keep it short, 150-175 words max.

I want to include as many as I can, and it will be best if you can include your real name and Subsim nickname. Of course, if you're in the FBI Witness Protection program or hiding from an ex-wife or three, you could make up a real name, I won't know. But if you want to show the book to your kids, friends, or family, your real name will make a better impression.

thanks!
Neal

I've got your story in there, you have something else? Send it in :) If it doesn't make this edition, we will get it in the next one.

I don't have either of the existing Almanacs (will buy them someday, promise!) so I can't look. Did I do one for either of those?

I've a week off after tomorrow so I could give it another go if you like.

My memories regarding the Grey Wolves are nowhere as clear and detailed as those of Todd so I was thinking possibly in terms of British Navy WWII, sub or surface vessel related.

Is that okay?

Jim. Buddy. If you have time, a full article on teh Grey Wolves would be worth its weight in gold. :yep: Not as a Roll Call entry, that's a wee bit of 4~10 sentences. The GW story deserves at least 1600 words :sunny: How it began, who helped, the work that was achieved, funny anecdotes about the project and its development and success, etc.

Mine's a bit sucky

There lies the problem Neal....Todd always intended creating such an article following your request all those years back and as such made notes to aid him.

I'll PM him and do my level best to put some different subject matter together.
