Mission to hunt task force northern patrol area question
 

Hello, I am on my patrol 5 and I received a mission to patrol 96 hours a patrol area of 400km NW of England between Iceland and Faroe. I managed to find a merchand armed ship of 16.000tons the Rawalpindi. Then I received a message from Bdu to inform me that I succeeded, the objective turned green.
Then I received exactly the same secondary objective, patrol the same area for 96hours to find a task force.
After like 72 hours max the objective turned red (finished) and Bdu sent a message to break current objective and act on my own.

My question is, is the mission really totally failed? can I continue with this red objective or should I reload ?
Not sure if I can move forward in my campaign if I failed
