AL 73... Cant find it on the map...

So, I just got my orders for my 17th war patrol in U45, and after safely sailing my boat out of the bunker in Lorient, and when preparing to chart the course towards my designated patrol area I can't seem to find the area AL 73 on the map... Is this a bug, or are Adm. Dönitz staff playing an elaborate trick on me?

Also, I got fired on by a neutral ship on an earlier patrol... I did not shoot first... Is this scripted behavior if you get to close to neutral shipping with your sub?

Lastly, encountering ships with Norwegian flag, months after the end of fighting in Norway, and way after the exile government had formed in the UK, but ships with Norwegian flags still show as neutral shipping... Surely Norwegian flagged vessels were not regarded as neutral at this late stage in the war? All Norwegian flagged ships were called in to service for the Norwegian exile government, so they were all regarded as valid / enemy vessels. Bug? Or am I missing something?

Anyone?

You are correct, AL73 does not exist. I don't know what part of the game generates these. But the grids weren't all regular formed. Something with wrapping rectangles over a sphere.

As you can find in this Kriegsmarine grid quadrant calculator, it didn't find it either: http://www.navalgrid.com/find/square/al73

And to prove what AL or AL7 looks like: http://www.navalgrid.com/find/square/al and http://www.navalgrid.com/find/square/al7
Not a regular 3 by 3 grid square by any means.

(In their About section there is in fact a screenshot of the actual map AL grids.)

Flotilla.cfg

What Mod has been added to your GWX 3 install?
Do you use SH3 Commander?

I can tell you the only instance of AL73 in GWX 3 is the Dials.cfg Line 888
I'm that damned good at knowing what GWX 3 has!

You sure it is in Dials.cfg? As it is more likely to be in Flottila.cfg. Brainfart maybe?
