Hi Boomfunkmc
Nice first video.

The Ships Journal in TDW’s Options File Editor Viewer is where you can setup your U-Boat number and your Captains Name which you can then see in your game.
https://i.postimg.cc/ryjDNTjw/captur...019-140916.jpg

I notice you are using U45 on your video title so am assuming you got that number from KSDCommander?

The Enigma crypted messages will only appear if you have enabled the mod and you will not see an English translation.
If you are not going to use it then disabling the mod IIRC will still continue to show messages crypted until you end the patrol.

I notice your watch crew went AWOL you will need to save and reload your game.

You can push your deck watch further back behind the hatch by using this mod.
sobers 7A_B deck crew moved for Shaefer > Enable JSGME

This mod is where your crews beards are from.
It gives you the option to be able to start your mission with your crew not to have beards but to introduce them after they have been at sea after sometime.
Swapping between the 2 mods can be done any time the game is not running.

Oh wow, thanks for that info @THEBERBSTER

I will do what you recommend immediately!

Hi B
You said in your last video you are getting ctd's in a certain situation.

TWoS is 100% ctd free, so what is going on?
Just checking to make sure you are loading your game from manual saves you have made and not using the automatic ones?

Did you also experience any ctd's in the Baltic Operation mission?

Please post your mod list.

I have noticed that the game tends to crash as I open my torpedo tubes, and the sound effect is about to start. I am willing to bet the problem is some kind of crash with DBSM that causes the crash.

Here is the modlist as it was when I made the video. Btw, Yes I have normally loaded up saves that the game produces, and not manually made saves, I did not know that was a bad thing.

Generic Mod Enabler - v2.6.0.157
[F:\Silent Hunter 5\TWoS_Parts]

TWoS UI cmd_Auto Target ID
TWoS Campaign Start_Type VIIB
TWoS Real Navigation
Stormy`s DBSM 1.3

*Latest video will be re-uploaded tonight because I did not notice the horribly bad pixelations caused by wrong settings in my export settings in Adobe Premiere Pro. Old video will be deleted, and replaced with the new.

Here is a little-bit of an update.. This is a video to highlight some problems I am having with the game.

remove Stormy`s DBSM 1.3

THEBERBSTER 03-08-19 05:21 AM

Hi B
Stormy's DBSM is a large sound mod with additional optional mods that can be enabled on top of it and that shows how comprehensive this base mod is.
When you open a tube door you have a clash of a number of files from different sources all needing to be activated at the same time and that is your problem so you will always have a ctd at some point at a crucial point in your game.
Sjizzle quite rightly points out that you need to remove the mod and the problem will be solved.

Try to delete Sh.sdl file from your DBSM 1.3 mod and reenable the mod again. I'm not sure about sober's mod...DO NOT pump the mods in if you don't know how to edit files manually.
Decide will you use TWoS or your own custom modlist...

yup 100% agree with you... also DBSM 1.3 it's a really old mod and not compatible with any other sound mods or any other mods which one change the sounds in SH5...
also in TWoS u have "My Sound Mix" mod wich one 100% it;s not compatible with DBSM 1.3 and other sound mods like gap-sound for Dinamic env. sober no foot step etc. etc. players need only to read what mods do u have in TWoS...

I removed DBSM, and the crashes are gone now. It really is too bad its not compatible. The sounds the mod adds are fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. There should have been a way to add the crew sounds into the game. I really don't care about the music files or anything, but only the crew sounds. For example, when you emergency dive, you really get a feel that its urgent as the alarm goes off, and people are scrambling. Also, the fantastic crew sound when the ship is being water bombed by enemy DDs. Awesome..

Alright, problem solved Sir.. Thanks for the help :Kaleun_Salute:

u will get copyright strike for any sounds from Das Boot movie... if u make a let's play and u will upload them on youtube...

Removed Sh.sdl file as instructed and tested in the bunker with no ctd when tube doors are opened which was the fault being reported on YouTube.
Removed 2 non TWoS mods which would have been over written by DBSM.
Requires changes to be made in the OFEV due to keyboard bindings being changed by Stormy's keyboard which I already have a list of what needs to be be changed having used his keyboard previously in TWoS.
Currently in the bunker waiting to start the next mission which is good timing so will continue testing.
