Was thinking about if there was a new SH on the horizon. I come here and find this SHO thing.

Wow.

I'm surprised and I'm not. I didn't think SH5 sold well, but that they would go in this direction is... Don't really have a word for it.

So - can anyone point me to a kickstarter page for a real subsim?

Well, joining the Army took up a fair bit of my time. :D That and SH5 was a bit of a letdown. Haven't explored the mods for it yet.

Since you've been gone the modders have worked wonders, check them out. And welcome back :salute:

If there's one constant in the 'verse, it's that Subsim modders can turn any turd Ubisoft puts out into something amazing given the lack of support they get from Ubisoft.

Mythbusters have proven... you can polish a turd

IMHO SH5 still has a lot of polishing left to go... but it is at the very least a tolerable experience now.
