For those of us new to SH5, is there a way to get the tutorial missions enabled ? Thank you kindly ...

OldCoder 02-18-17 09:06 PM

fitzcarraldo , please load sh5 to the main menu, then run dbgview and inside that press the filter button and type the two process ids separated by semicolon. Then load your campaign in sh5.

To find the two process ids run up windows task manager and it'll list the pid numbers. You're looking for the numbers of sh5 task and osi task. Example: 10123;6846

Then after the campaign load finishes you should see lots of text appearing in the dbgview window which can be saved to a file and uploaded for us to look at.

Interesting, thanks...You are saying that successful campaign transfer has been initiated despite the fact that you have never received "in good order" message?
This could mean that maybe not all processes which Coders's script is checking are necessary for successful campaign transfer.
:

I suspect it is more that the MO that the script creates for testing is created too late and not passed off to osi for evaluation. Potentially the same for palmic who is saying similar I believe. This may be hardware dependant perhaps. But the dbgview logs may reveal the answer.

Not sure if the test MO can be created earlier. I did have a separate method that created the MO after the evaluation and which would be saved and only tested when the file was reloaded. But it was not as elegant as creating it on the fly during load.

We will see.

Hallo,

Hello,
I was just on an enemy trip, 2 freighters sunk and there were 2 destroyers
help. So I went to a depth of 100 meters
Motors stop. They have me nevertheless. :hmmm: And promt 3 more
Destroyer to help.:o Have only the guardian what of
Water bombs murmur to hear and around my pressure envelope it was done.
The subsequent death struggle (mine) lasted 15 minutes, because mine
Repair team did not manage to repair the printing envelope.:wah:

Someone have a clue how they did it?
Is there a sea water layer that prevents the detection with sonar?
And what depth is that in the North Sea?
I thought the maximum depth for water bombs was 90 meters?

Hi Vecko

What did you change in the f update?
For me is the e update better, 1 reload but the f update i need 2 a 3 reloads

And when you have a good campaign advance he saves directly just what peter says

Maybe the save is triggered due to the test MO the script creates is marked as complete by SH5. Just guessing though.

No, because you wont learn anything useful from it...It's just broken stock tutorial for broken stock game, nothing more...

5f update
Start with last bunker save 15/05/40
"problem detected" ask for new patrol 06/06/1940, "good order". start engines and transfer from CW to HT, 15/06/40 "good order"
A new test, load game near base 15/05/40, "problem detected" refit and would like to see the north sea, icebergs aren't merchants, problems with navigation map date, it doesn't update after 5 days, 01/06/40 CW disapears from navigation map, a little after transfer to HT, 15/06/40 now i'm in bunker, ask for patrol without save and reload, "problem detected", save at that time and reload, now "good order"
Load my 03/12/40 save and "good order" now test it, i let you know problems

I've noticed similar but only when starting patrol from the bunker...:hmmm:

To all : please add dbgview (data/Aplications) log of your playing sessions to your reports!

elder_gutknecht 02-19-17 08:48 AM

Save and reload after my first mission in my patrol, "good order" in the 3rd reload

I think that dbgview output log of same playing session would be of great help to OldCoder...:yep:

I see the dbgview in the Apps folder, but, please, tell me how can I obtain that log.

Many thanks!

Post #7192 should help you with that but post up if you get stuck.

Palmic, can you also provide dbgview log of sh5 and osi campaign load please?

elder_gutknecht 02-19-17 12:37 PM
