I can't say that is surprisingIn fact, the behaviour and actions of Russia might well bring both Democrats and Republicans closer together if even just for the duration of the hostilities.

Yes, but that duration may cause a momentum working against Trumpists lasting beyond that time window that started it.

Well. Hopefully.

The feeling of helplessness.

Following the news and hear about nuclear on high alert-One feel kind of helplessness-Like there's nothing I can do I can only hope they will come to some agreement and everything will be alright again.

Have you heard about this "Angel of Verdum", a beauty queen who is slaughtering Ruskies left and right? :D

The mainstream media would rather start WW3 than hand the government back over to populist Republicans in the next election. :har:

It's a joke, I know humor is now mostly frowned on. :03:

My mistake-When I read what you wrote
"Angel of Verdum"

I should have figuret out that it was a joke especially when you posted a picture from the movie.

Meanwhile Putin's army is targeting especially civilians and residential buildings, he is trying to wipe out everyone there.
He lies all the time, he does not want to negotiate. Diplomacy is dead.

If we let this go on he can blackmail everyone, and all will shy away?

So, this is pure theory. How about an ultimatum?
Stop the slaughter or there IS a nuclear war. Instantly.

And if that ultimatum is given and Putin doesn't blink, then what? Nuclear Armageddon? Who gets to make that call?

My thought exactly. If US or NATO doesn't act now, why the hell would they act if a NATO country gets attacked?

The risk of nuclear war is just as big, whether the West responds in Ukraine, in Poland, or in the baltic states. The "we will defend NATO allies" narrative is getting harder and harder to swallow. If Europe won't help Ukraine militarily now because they fear WW3, won't they be just as scared if a NATO country is attacked?

We have to believe there are sane heads in the Russian top brass, that don't want to sacrifice life, family or wealth for Putin, and would not allow the worst to happen.

Yeah, that feeling of panic and dread fades after a while. :Kaleun_Cheers:
As horrific as it is, you do get used to it.

For some reason, I want to buy an Oldsmobile.
