Thank you Panosskg, you sir are the man! That was what I was missing. Now everything is working perfectly.
Also many thanks to TheDarkWraith, Sober and all of you modders out there who have made this game so enjoyable over the years.

All my mods are working correctly in game but now in the later years of the war I am in need of the snorkel. Just not able to get to the screen where I can set the snorkel value to true. Then you would save the changes and install the mod.

Leave the mod installed and set your edit path to this:-

C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\data\Scripts\Menu\\TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py

Now you are editing the file direct from the game and this will allow you to add/remove snorkel.

Note: - when adding or removing the snorkel - always do it from the bunker save as if you do it when your save game is in the boat - you will ctd

i download the 1000 18/02/2013 (correct order) sober mega list
i play tutorial with out mods in update version 1.2
i take the green green tick
make exit game
enable the mods with JSGME
run game again
new campaign
silentotto
coastal water
skip tutorial YES
CTD

If put out of list this mod
IRAI_0_0_39_ByTheDarkWraith_Patch_1
can make new campaign

Is problem for my new campaign this?

Better try to disable these two mods - TDW_Ship_Inertia_1_1_0 and IRAI_0_0_39_Inertia_Damage
not this one - IRAI_0_0_39_ByTheDarkWraith_Patch_1

Hello again guys, I have a couple more questions. Now that the snorkel is enabled (telescoping) I am unable to reduce speed, when at snorkel depth and snorkel engaged the speed automatically jumps to full, and I am unable to slow her down, unless I disengage the snorkel. I could live with this but my chief engineer keeps calling out the speed 12 knots every couple seconds.
Also I have the Equipment_Upgrades_Fix_1_4, and the 2 patches that go with this in the correct order from Sober's listing, (awesome mod btw) but am unable to get the hinged snorkel to work. I equipped it at base, started patrol and the telescoping was still there. I guess my question would be do i need turn off the snorkel from the Options File Editor and install the Equipment_Upgrades_Fix_1_4 and its patches last as it says to in the install text?

Thanks Volody61, I tried that with the Equipment_Upgrades_Fix_1_4 and its patches where they were before the UI and it didn't work. So I uninstalled/reinstalled everything in correct order except saved the Equipment_Upgrades_Fix_1_4 and its patches for last, loaded up game and the hinged snorkel is working!

Hi Sober, I have tried both versions; and with both the same thing happens, when used with the telescoping or the hinged snorkel both give me full speed (not flank) but also can't slow down or speed up, it seems to be stuck at full ahead. I will list my mod order if need be.
I could deal with that, but since the chief engineer keeps reading off the current speed submerged every few seconds, as you can guess that gets old pretty quick.
I know the snorkel is still being perfected, just wanted to list this possible bug I am gettling.
