Has happened before in RL. The Queen Mary rammed and sliced HMS Curacoa in two during a fast convoying mission. The Curacoa zigged when she should have zagged along with Queen Mary and the rest of the convoy, crossing over her bows. The liner was going too fast to avoid and sank the light cruiser.

Though knowing how dodgy some of the collisions are in SH4 I wouldn't be surprised if the Liner sank instead of the DD!:rotfl:
