Just a FYI as there may be a problem at Truk.

Approaching eastbound August 14, 1943 17:25. Radarcontact! Boat 70 km east of the island group. Detected ship some 30 km SW. Then CTD...

After reboot another try. No problem this time? (got her btw.). Laid a course around Truk Island 30 km off shore for a radar scan of what may be there... August 15, 1943 03:37, 7d45'N 151d55'E and tracking two pairs of destroyers. CTD again.

Didn't wanna challenge it further. Loadet a previous save and went S according to new orders. No problem since, so something could be happening at Truk?

Running RSRDC_v355_for_v15 and RSRDC_v355_Patch 8.

Had a very long patrol. From Midland to Marshall Islands, then Gilbert Islands and back to Marshalls. Very exiting! Went to the advanced base at Solomon Islands for fish and fuel. Ordered to Bismarck Sea and then to Truk, which we now are leaving as ordered to the Palau-Rabual shipping lanes... Excellent put together!

Other mods used:
My Fleet Sub - USS Silversides (all Gato settings and textures)
My Fleet Sub - Settings (menu, commands, gameplay etc.)
My Fleet Sub - Graphics (scene, clouds, shaders and textures)

None of these are campaign related and these CTD's are the first ever experienced. Normally things runs steady as a rock, hence this post.

And Thanks for the Mod!

Btw. we very, very rarely see an airplane? Did you tone them down? and do you have a suggestion if we would like to see more planes? :88)

something similar

i was running TMO162 + RSRD, sept 1942. Tambor class. (I think, happened last sunday)

got a report of multiple convoys and IJN units moving on a N-S axis, some 150 km west of truk (again from memory)

found two sampans and engaged with gun, no time to circle around them.

after sinking, I moved to plot to check my posit and insert point to ambush the multiple Ultras and went to the bridge to see the sampan sink... CTD.

Tried new campaing, same boat class, same start date (but removed RSRD) had no CTD, only a high failure rate on torps (to be expected), on the same approach and patrolling structure I got maru no. 1 east of Truk and the Comte Verde and maru no.2 west of Truk, spending all 20 mk-14,

On this last convoy I made 3 attacks during 18 hrs and they had a 3 DD escort, got a first hit on the bows of the Comte verde and on the 2 attacks two hits MOT for contact. After sinking the last maru, I broke off from the escort, the DD didnt hear me at all.

Right now Im on my way to Johnston Island to refuel refit and back to the Carolines.

maybe a problem with Truk Atoll.

Thank you and thank you again! What a great mod.

Quick question: I just saw that RFB 1.5. has received a new patch (18 January 2008). Is the latest RSRDC compatible with this latest RFB?
[EDIT: The answer appears to be Yes. Great!]

Problem with Spec Ops Mission

It is October 1943 and I have received the Mission SpeOps_guerrilla_NegrosPI_2. I sailed to the map marker and at dawn on Oct 19 the launch boat window appears and a radio message comes at the same time. The message says to wait four hours before starting the mission which I looked at after launching the boat. Both objectives are reported as completed. After 4 hours another message came to proceed to Timor Island and pick up 10 people and a Lifeguard Map Marker appeared. I go there at proper fuel efficient speed and see nothing. I wait a week and no planes appear to rescue. I reload the mission from port with unlimited fuel, flank speed to the original mission, flank surface speed to Timor and still nothing. What am I not doing to complete the mission? I am running RFB1.52 with patch111608 and RSRDC_RFBv15_V396 and Foobor's Sub Skins.

I have the latest version but I assumed I could not install it until this career was over.
