Any US subs in the area: Be advised USS Wahoo has made contact with the above enemy vessels, we have 10 torps remaining and will attempt to put them to good use. All subs advised to converge on this location.

From Wahoo, B.Fett commanding. UPDATE:

Tracked and sank two (2) Akitsu class escort carriers and one (1) escort DD. Light rain and heavy fog helped us approach unobserved. Submerged and fired 3 fish at each CVE from under 1000 yards, scoring 5 hits. Escort charged, fired two (2) fish down his throat as we pulled the plug. Massive explosion followed. Went deep to evade other escorts. Stayed at 250 ft heading east until night fell. With only two fish left we headed back to Pearl.
