I think I know what is the problem here, too many dialog lines. Try to use keyboard numbers to interact and bypass the problem(press 9 for example). I'll try to fix the issue in the next update but can not say exactly when. I'm very busy these days...

Hi There, im Having Problems installing the mod.
When i start the installer .exe of the mod, at a certain Point a window Pops up wich says that the files are corrupted. I tried downloading the installer .exe again an again but it doesnt do the trick.

This should not happen unless your download has had a problem.
Check that your Anti-virus is not the cause.

Yes, the anti virus popped up a red window saying such thing...clicking on it makes a new box saying install it anyway :yep:

... and when I start the install, I do so from the Windows Explorer window. I right-click on the executable and choose "Run as administrator", then I'll get the choice that Flfi mentions. :salute:

Map problem in UHD (21:9) on starting screen (boat hangar)

> Confirmed. I did find another thread that was about the same issue, but in-game. The problem can be solved in a way that is not possible on the starting screen.

Reproduce: Start the game in 3440x1440 resolution.


Description: Map on starting screen (in the boat hangar) is on the top left of the screen. As it's only possible to resize the map to the top and right, there is no way to get the map opened in a reasonable size. I can't move the map as well.


In another thread the same problem is described, but in-game. In-game you have a button to toggle the map (TAI visibility). This toggles the map to the bottom left which means you may resize it as needed. Works as described. But this button is not not be found on the starting screen.


Also this makes navigating the main map (where to pick the missions) pretty hard. As the small map is controlling the main map, navigating in the main map via mouse is not possible. I can use the arrow keys and I finally succeeded in accepting the first mission. But it was not funny...


(I messed with all resolution related settings that I could think of: fullscreen/windowed, VSync on/off, 60/75Hz etc. Issue always the same.)



This behaviour does not occur in game where the main map works as exptected and the mini-map may be toggled with the button, so no issues in-game.

I started yesterday (Feb 9) with the vanilla game completing the first (tutorial mission) and stopped in the first official mission. Today (Feb 10) I installed WoS mod and started new campaign. I saved this new campaign right at the very start using "WoS1" as file name.

Could you provide SHA-256 hashes and OpenPGP signature files for the Wolves of Steel installer and update files?

All of a sudden I save a game, exit to main menu, then exit game altogether, I get a black screen. Have to restart my computer. Ideas?

Just to be fair. I did not Alt + Tab but I did Alt + R to bring up my AMD overlay. Will that do damage?

I couldn't reproduce this problem. I need more data...Everything was working just fine in my game. Can anyone else confirm this?

It's good thing that you don't gave any problems in normal gameplay. It's a resolution problem. I don't think there is a fix for it...SH5 is an old game, not very well optimized for new hi-res monitors...

Hello all mods experts,

I am new to SH5 and absolutely wanted to experiment the WOS experience.

Unfortunately, on the main menu, there is a window in the middle of the screen that I can not manage to close.

This window keeps appearing in the middle of the screen when I launch the game and the upper left fourth of the screen is a black square...

I've seen someone else also encountered this issue and solved it through full reinstall. It didn't work for me

I declined the Steam mandatory. Other than that, all is well

Yes, someone on this thread had a similar issue and a full reinstal solved the problem, not in my case

Didn't use any other mod than WOS2.2.9
