Humza Yousaf has been labelled a “national embarrassment” after failing to condemn Hamas for their attack on Israel.

The SNP First Minister was slammed for giving a weak response to the ongoing situation in the Middle East.

Yousaf, who has been a staunch critic of Israel in the past, posted online to say: “My wife Nadia and I spent this morning on the phone to her family in Gaza.

“Many others in Scotland will be deeply worried about their families in Israel and Palestine. My thoughts and prayers are very much with those worried about loved ones caught up in this awful situation.”

The First Minster did repost a tweet from Westminster Foreign Affairs spokesman Brendan O’Hara. Who said: “The scenes we are witnessing from Gaza and Israel are deeply disturbing.

“Along with the rest of the international community, we condemn the actions of Hamas, just as we condemn the killing of all innocent civilians, be they Israeli or Palestinian.”

However, the First Minister was slammed for failing to personally condemn Hamas and for not taking sides in a post considered by many to be too neutral.

A number of Tory MPs called him out for his neutral tweet.

MSP Stephen Kerr said: “Humza Yousaf has failed to call out Hamas for what they are: terrorists. He’s an embarrassment to our great nation. Scotland deserves better!”

Former Scottish Tory leader Jackson Carlaw added: “Ongoing Hamas terrorism tonight in Israel is beyond disgusting. The limp response of Scotland’s FM (it’s not some natural disaster but an act of vicious terror) & the bewildering lack of any response from Kirsten Oswald is a complete abdication of leadership. Shameful.”

Then the band played 'Believe it if You Like'

Labour's shadow energy secretary Ed Miliband outlines the party's plans for green energy, in a speech to the party's conference in Liverpool
He says Labour will double onshore wind, treble solar power and quadruple offshore wind if it wins power in elections expected next year
Earlier, shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves said the party was "ready to serve" and a Labour government would stick to "iron-clad fiscal rules" and "rebuild Britain"
An overhaul of planning rules would speed up green energy and 5G projects, she said, and would provide thousands of new jobs
She also promised to introduce a "genuine living wage", an inquiry into the aborted HS2 project, and to make private schools pay VAT
But the grassroots left-wing group Momentum called the speech "disappointing", while Chancellor Jeremy Hunt said Labour's plans would fuel inflation
Reeves's plans were endorsed by the former Bank of England governor, Mark Carney, who said it was time to put her ideas into action.

When Corbyn was leader of the Labour Party this idiot was his right hand man so no surprises here.

Quote:

John McDonnell fails to condemn terror attacks at Palestine campaign rally

John McDonnell failed to condemn Hamas' deadly attacks on Israel as he addressed a Palestine Solidarity Campaign at the Labour Party Conference.

Speaking at a fringe event in Liverpool, the former shadow chancellor said that he was "worried" about the situation unfolding in the Middle East and the impact on civilians.

However, he failed to address the terror attacks launch by Hamas on Israel over the weekend.

The Hayes and Harlington MP said the focus now needed to be on sorting a ceasefire.

He said: "I think our role as individuals and members of the Labour and trade union movement, and every other organisation that we can possibly mobilise as well, is to try and get some acknowledgement that the key factor now must be the protection of civilians.

"I’m so fearful, I’m so worried that what’s happening in Gaza now is that we’re seeing almost an annihilation of civilians.

"Therefore, everything we have to do now is to mobilise both within our own country, but internationally as well, to try and put pressure on the international community now to ensure that the attacks on Gaza end and that a form of dialogue is opened up to secure initially, at least, some form of ceasefire, de-escalation, and then hopefully the first steps to a longer-term solution.

"And I know we’ve been here so often before but I’m not sure we’ve been here on this scale of the potential loss of life, civilian loss of life in particular.

I'm not going to vote for a Labour leader who thinks that women can have a Penis and, I'm not going to vote for a Tory leader who came third in a recent leadership contest and, one of those was a bleeding Lettuce.

Whoever wins the next General Election will have a lot of pain on trying to convince the masses that they'll do better than the other lot.

Labour.
Wow, get rid of these muppets and fast.
Keir Starmer
Angela Rayner
Rachel Reeves
Yvette Cooper
Ed Miliband
David Lammy
Emily Thornberry
Lisa Nandy
Ooh, there's some bleeding numpties in that list.

A Cabbage, Leader
A Potato, Deputy Leader.

Conservatives.
Same tired old has beens, they need to go, and I'm a bit concerned about Penny and her Trans beliefs as well.

Suella Braverman Leader
Penny Mordaunt Deputy Leader.
