A bit late I have upgraded to Type XXI. That U-Boat U441 had a Type VIIC/4 all flak, unfortunately not much action due to rotten weather in the med 1944. I got some real good under water one's to post when I dig them out, but for now here's one of the XXI on the surface and seeing action.

May 1942. U-701, after terrorrizing the small port of Hartlepool....and sinking almost everything in it... Not much though. A couple of large merchants....three small ones....a destroyer and an armed trawler. I was just beginning to have fun with the deck gun when 5 planes appeared out of nowhere and flooded me heavily.... I spent almost two hours at the bottom of the harbour after that.
