I have never seen this thread. :hmmm:

This only confirms what I have always suspected. None of you are wrapped real tight. :haha:

I must be in the right place.

RIP Sailor Steve :C

Rest in peace Steve.

Such sad news. Never met the guy. Just here on the forums. But he was a fair nice guy moderating us. RIP Steve. :Kaleun_Salute:

elanaiba 09-02-22 03:08 PM

Oh damn... we are diminished ....

Steve was such a great guy. Am happy to have met him in person. Sorry I won't get to do it again :(

Rest in Peace, buddy!

What an enormous loss - what a huge, inestimable and irreplaceable loss. We two also had some clashes (beep-beep) but this hugely intelligent guy never EVER bore a grudge. We might have disagreed rather crossly at times (and I also got canned by Steve) but in another thread on the following day it was all forgotten; I always admired that quality in him so I always made a point to send him sincere birthday greetings. I just hope I didn't upset him too much the rest of the time

So long Steve - I just told Moira and she is so sad too

Then there was the time Sailor Steve and Dowly were battling over the use of asterisks in place of letters. That was priceless.

RIP Sailor Steve, already missing your WWI related postings and threads. :Kaleun_Salute:

He was a really nice guy, polite to a fault, knowledgeable, and with good humour. RIP Steve, you will be missed.

Very sad news indeed, my prayers go out to his family. Remember do not slack off in your patrols for he is up above the clouds watching us....always! :Kaleun_Salute:

Heard seldom of him lately, i had heard he was not well and had health problems, so somehow feared this would happen. We did not have contact often, but when it was always nice. Wish i would have met him.
"Hit" me at least two times when i was using swearwords, 2nd time "... just of all YOU should know!" (sidekick at my age probably :haha:) :salute:
Very knowledgable in WW1 stuff, especially in planes, always very nice and decent in all exchanges.

Rest in peace Steve.

Fair seas and fair winds old Sailor, you'll be in my memories as they left quite an impression on me when I was a lot more active around here back in the day.

You'll be missed old timer.

Thanks Ocelot for your response and welcome back after a very long and silent run. :yep:

RIP Sailor Steve. Very sad news. I didn't know him personally, but he has been a friendly and warm, fellow musician here at subsim for all the years I've been here.

Onkel Neal 09-02-22 05:06 PM

Confirmed: Steve passed peacefully Tuesday, Aug. 30th.

Kpt. Lehmann 09-02-22 05:34 PM
