the interior of the akula in DW on the pre improved versions are pretty close to be honest ! the newer submarines have diffrent consols and the newer still submarines now have waterfall displays, i think they are refitting them into all new builds and also some of the older subs that may see longer service.

That's real interesting. I would love to see the inside of an Akula. I didn't know Russia was even pouring any new money on Akula's anymore, other than maintaining them. I thought they were focusing their funding on their newer generation submarines now.

what new generation attack submarine?

The yasen class started to build in 1996 her hulk is still in the sevmash yard they are pouring money into thier new SSBN's and upkeep of SSN's the akulas still have a good 15 20 years of life left not so for the older victor III 10 years maybe 15 if they are lucky.
