I was trying to slow down/speed up to let you people catch up, didn't really work until about half-way through the 2nd try though I think

Maby flying around the base while we all get up in the air in formation. What do you think...:hmmm:

Depends if we take off together. Much easier for the leader to slow down abit if we take off as a group instead of us trying to form up while the leader is constantly turning.

Leader should only worry about keeping his altitude and throttle fixed (or notify the others if there is a change). The rest can catch the leader on 100% throttle, no need for the leader to slow down. Infact it just makes it more difficult for the rest to match the speed with him.

Ow, I can host the BoB map tonight at the usual time if the Spit guys want get the training done today, if all goes well, we can move on to the group attack stuff tomorrow (or whatever Hunter had in mind). Just a quick 2-3 run session, take off, fly to a spot and return to base, repeat.

Sorry, won't be able to tonight

Not sure if I will make it tonight. Had a funny turn in the shower and collapsed banging my head. Nothing too major, just overly hot shower I think but the doc told me to take it easy. I'll see how I feel round 2100.

Task Force 03-25-09 02:01 PM

oah... Thats not good Xabbarus.

Schroeder 03-25-09 02:48 PM

Nothing major? Than you didn't try hard enou... erm... never mind. Hope you feel better soon.:D

Well it seems that I couldn't get a brake tonight. First during one of the formation flights I had half of my wing cut off by Oberon, second I got an He111 that crash landed but didn't explode, and third I found myself doing a flat spin after getting a bit of prop wash from a JU88.

Kratos 03-25-09 06:58 PM

Aye seems these little things are sent to try our patience @ times :DL

Oh well stuff happens. BTW I read in the aircraft guide that the Hurricanes have a two stage supercharger, I suggest that we use this.

That's only useful if we go to high altitude, which we don't

Also the Hurri Mk. I doesn't have a 2-stage supercharger

Kptlt. Neuerburg 03-26-09 01:10 AM

Raptor that is true that doesn't have the supercharger but the type I was talking about was the MKIIb. Here is a quote from the aircraft guide.
"Supercharger speeds should be set to speed 2 in combat or in climb if boost is 2-5 psi below max; otherwise use speed 1. Best performance altitude is between 1,500 and 2,800 meters for speed 1 and 4,500 and 6,500 for speed 2." So we can use stage one of the supercharger at least.
