Hmmmm, well Home & End keys work for me on this, and rotates it fast. Then with the mousewheel you get a slow and fine movement, which is good for fine tuning it to the exact bearing.
And no I didn't have no mods except for the depth under keel key binding I did maually in the cfg. |
How do i get the deck gun crew off the deck gun once i have finished with it . I am using mighty finecrew 1.2.1 if thatmake a diffrence .
|
You could talk to your WO, he should have a dialog option for unman the deck gun.
Bit buggy though, doesn't always work. An option that does always work (in my experience) is to hit the 'surface the boat' command. It will kick the crew off the deck gun. Dunno why. |

Have used this, but not experienced any bugs.....yet |
I think it's tied into morale.
I have a feeling that un manning the deck gun 'costs' you 1 morale point. And if the game has zeroed out your morale, as it does from time to time, the command won't work. EDIT: Of course, if you are using one of the morale fix mods that can change. A few of them reduce the cost of manning and unmanning the guns to zero, so you will not encounter this problem. At least that's how I read it. |
When i talk to the WO it justhas theoption to man the deck or flak gun but nothing to unman them . I will try surface the boat . Thanks .

Just got the game, doing the campaign, how do you get the watch officer and the other men with you on the conning tower when the boat is surfaced?

Just a few questions..
How to send range ping with sonar? is it only certain models? (still in early 1940) how to apply twin 20mm upgrade to 2nd aa deck? Does setting torps 1-2m under keel really work? In my experience from sh4 that never really works and u have to set it right at keel depth |

Thanks for answers, do we get an upgrade to cannons as well?
I D/L'd the "all upgrades" mod thingy just to see what new things they have, but it's not working :( Also, I was unable to apply the twin 20mm AA gun to the Wintergarten slot, just single is available i believe |
I have a question. How many torpedo's do you need (on average) to sink a queen Elisabeth battleship? I hit one yesterday with 3 torpedo's but it was still not sinking... (is this realistic??)
|
You need exactly four torps, no matter head on hull or below keel. Also the torps impact with a much duller sound then on merchants. Don't know whether this is intended due to the armour or a bug.
The Wintergarten double flak comes available after a period. I got it end june 1940. Marc |
For taking down the Queen, it depends on if you're using torpedo mods at all.
With improved Torpedos, you can get away with two (one if your lucky) usually under the keel shots directly below a stern and bow turret. Stock you can get away with three but it may take a bit to sink |
