I sir, got my elevators shot to hell by a yellow nosed bastard :hmph:

A stuka shooting me down, how preposterous.:smug:

Aye, same here. And those bullet holes in my canopy before getting the tail blasted by a 109 had absolutely nothing to do with a Stuka's rear-gunner. :smug:

Info on game please

This is very interesting reading. It makes me want that game. Please tell me the producer of B of B or a link to the game site where I can purchase.

The game is IL2 1946, the 'Battle of Britain' is the campaign they are playing. You should have no troubles finding IL2 1946 with a bit of searching. :salute:

Oberon 07-08-10 09:05 AM

Just remember when attacking Stukas to use the blind spot behind and below them. Although I'm not sure if IL2s AI rear gunners can actually shoot through the fuselage at you...quite frankly in Olegs world I would not be at all surprised.
Tonights flight should not have that long a flight time, at least for the chaps operating out of Manston. Legend has it that Werner Molders will be paying us a visit so I hope you've cleaned your planes up. :yep:

HunterICX 07-08-10 10:03 AM

As far I'm aware of attacking the Stuka on his blind spot does work, at least I didn't had trouble with it and when it shooted it didn't hit me due the limit his rear gun can aim at.

as far Herr Mölders goes...

Hunter: Erm...that wasn't the Polish I meant...

And thus the Polish squadrons were born....

And, that's good to hear about the IL2 Stukas, I do recall an incident during our Battle of France campaign many moons ago though where a Stuka shot at me whilst I was in the blind spot...I'll keep an eye out and see what they do when I next tangle with them.

Raptor1 07-08-10 10:33 AM

The Stuka sometimes fires below into it's blindspot, I do seem to recall it happening to me a few times...

Schroeder 07-08-10 10:36 AM

^This.
They can shoot farther down than they should be able to.

Cheating Jarmin buggers...

You know, the more I read up about the Spitfire, the more I realise the glaring deficiencies of the Spit Mk I Flight model. There's no juddering in a turn before a stall, and it's far too easy to snap spin.

The more I read the more I also realise how superior the BOBII Spit FM is. :hmmm:

Still...it's better than having no Spit Mk I at all, and perhaps the next HSFX mod will adjust the FM. :hmmm:

Well, at least it has a FM in opposite to so many other mod planes.:damn:

Schroeder 07-12-10 10:33 AM

I might not be there tonight. I'll go to an intelligence meeting this evening and I don't know how long it will take.
