Vessel was created using Sansal’s Pack3d extractor. It is compatible with any stock or super-modded version of Silent Hunter III but the damage model and renown values are based on the GWX supermod. Includes the kingposts from Sergbuto’s large cargo. Also includes data files modified by Ref and possibly other members of the GWX team. Tested using GWX 1.03 and an early version of NYGM.
Installation Instructions:
1)-Extract the contents of the folder Data to your Sh3 main directory. **NOTE: If you have the old Empire Freighter installed, let the new install overwrite the existing files. When prompted by Windows to replace existing files click "yes".
2)-IMPORTANT! Open Data\Sea\Englishnames.cfg (or Germannames.cfg depending on your language) and add the following line:
M35B=Empire Freighter
If you already have the old version of the freighter installed you should skip this step.

Additional Information
***********************
You can add it to other countries’ rosters, but historically it would have looked out of place in, say, the US or Japanese merchant marine.
If there are generic entries for UK, Belgian, Dutch, or Canadian merchants in your campaign, this vessel has a good chance of showing up after 1940. Because they were produced after the war started, all of the skins featured in the download are camoflage. It receives progressively heavier armament over the course of the war – after 1941 you might not want to engage one of these ships on the surface.
You can easily mod it into existing missions/campaign layers but PLEASE back up your files. I am not responsible for any damage incurred as a result of using this mod.
This may not be used in payware mods. If included in freeware mods, please give due credit. I can't respond to PM requests for assistance - please post all questions, comments, and flames on the subsim.com forums.
Known Problems:
-Because of node constraints most ventilation ducts are dummies. Don't bother shooting at them; all but a few of the ones on the stern are indestructible.
-The reflection from the ship is still the default Liberty Ship reflection. Using a corrected reflection caused severe problems with texturing that are still unresolved.
-The older version of the ship was described as taking too long to destroy. This version has 600 HP (as opposed to 1000) and should be easier to sink.
