As always any mods added with JSGME should be done in-port and after a roll-back.
Select Typewriter style OR Smooth style for JSGME install.
Preview examples in main folder.
This Mod will change the in-game radio messages (M) Font.
This Mod will also change the Status report – Patrol report messages Font.
The menu_1024_768 edit will change the List Font to match color.
If the menu_1024_768 edit is not done only the actually message color will be altered.
Displayed radio messages will appear in black text to match the news etc.
menu_1024_768 edit instructions
Open your C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Menu\menu_1024_ 768.ini file with a quality text editor.
I recommend TextPad but even Notepad can be used for this edit.
Make a copy – back-up of menu_1024_768.ini
Open menu_1024_768.ini do a search for Font=10
You will find 3 sections containing Font=10
I believe these are;
G37 I2
G37 I3
G37 I4
You should find them grouped one after the other.
For Black text Edit ALL Color=* to Color=0xFF
Or use the ; (semi-colon) trick for quick edit.
;Color=0xFFFFFFFF
Color=0xFF
In I2 & I3 you will find (StatesColors=*) Note: you need to make the same Color=0xFF edit in both (4 in each) as well.
Or use the ; (semi-colon) edit
;StatesColors=0x555555F0, 0x111111F0, 0xDD5800FF, 0xDD5800FF
StatesColors=0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF
The menu_1024_768 edit is not absolutely necessary, but without it your list will probably be the default orange and look unmatched to the mod/messages.
You can experiment with other hex colors, I tried to match the blue color but could not get the right match. If you find out what it is, Please let me know.
Note: I’m not going to send an ini file edited because other mods heavy editing to it.
That should be it – Enjoy!
