This simple mod adds 7 gramophone tracks to your gramophone in Silent Hunter 4. The tracks come from a 33rpm vinyl that my now 82-year old grandfather was given by a friend in the early 1950s when he was in medical school. The songs themselves were recorded between 1944 and 1950, according to the record sleeve, at which time they would have already been a rather vintage style of jazz. I have not been able to find these particular recordings anywhere else on the internet - not even youtube, despite searching.
I digitized these recordings myself using the proper equipment and applications. I wanted to post them here so that other people could enjoy them, and because I wanted to give something back to this community that has given me so much over the years.
I'd recommend turning down the volume on your SH4 radio in the settings panel - these tracks are loud! Besides, it doesn't make any sense that your radio should drown out the noise of your boat's engines
