Description
Flotilla Mod Readme 1.44 (for SH3 version 1.4 and all RUb 1.4* series).

This mod fixes some bugs and historical flaws with the game's flotilla listings. It also adds 2nd Flotilla as a 'starting' flotilla in 1939 and allows career starts in 1944 and 1945.

IMPORTANT: please note that this mod is in no way supported or endorsed by Ubisoft. It is an unofficial patch intended purely to enhance everyone's enjoyment of the game. Note that if you started a career in 1st or 2nd flotillas prior to installing this mod, those careers may not run correctly with the new flotilla settings.

Installation instructions:

If you're using the JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler (available at www.beerymod.com):
Simply unzip the mod into the SilentHunterIII\MODS folder. Then, run JSGME.exe and you should see the mod listed as an available mod. Simply select it, then press the enable button and the mod will automatically install. If you ever want to uninstall the mod, simply run JSGME.exe again and disable the mod. This will return the game to its previous state.

If you're not using the JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler, first unzip the mod to the desktop. Then, open the folder that's been created. Inside you'll see a data folder and a readme file. Copy these to the SilentHunterIII folder. When you copy the files, Windows will ask you if you want to overwrite files: click on yes for all files.

Version 1.44

Added start dates in 1944 and 1945 for all flotillas.

Note that no text is included for the 1944 and 1945 start dates. This will be added in RUb 1.44. Also note that players may encounter a SH3-based bug with 7th Flotilla in 1944 and 1945. The game may assign a Type II U-boat rather than the correct Type VII boat. This cannot be fixed, but there is a work-around solution: if you want to use 7th Flotilla in 1944 or 1945, after selecting ‘New Career’, choose the year, and click on other flotillas before selecting 7th Flotilla. This usually fixes the problem and gets you the correct Type VII U-boat.

Version 1.1:

Fixed 7th Flotilla bug which caused 7th Flotilla to be assigned two bases after August 1940.
1st Flotilla data altered - changed starting port for 1939 to 1940 campaigns, changed U-boat assignment for 1940 campaign. Changed menu screens to reflect this change.
2nd Flotilla data altered - added a starting port and campaign data for 1939. Changed menu screens to reflect this change.
7th Flotilla data altered - removed Type XXI.
33rd Flotilla data altered - removed Type XXI.
Fixed bugs that gave patrols in the Sahara desert and other unreachable areas.
