- Firing sound sampled from muzzle blast of real 88mm FlaK 36.
- Hear the breech open, reload and the empty case hit the deck.
- Hear your crew members advise they are reloading, and the order to fire when the gun is reloaded (your choice on whether you want voices as per below).
There are 2 files to choose from:
(Voices): this folder contains a sound mod that includes a crew member yelling "nachladen!" (reloading), and when the loading is complete another crew member ordering "feuer!" (Fire!). Essentially adds some more immersion each time the gun is fired.
(No Voices): if you do not want to hear the reloading and fire commands each time, the "No Voices" folder has only the sounds of the deck gun being reloaded. Sounds slighty different to the "Voices" file due to the removal of one or two segments of audio, and has a slighty higher pitch.
I have searched high and low for the right sounds/samples for the "Voices" file as it was my main project, so unless the shouts and commands really bug you I would strongly recommend using that one
Should be fine to use with JSGME, or simply place the desired file into your SH3 Sound folder: Silent Hunter 3\data\Sound (or wherever your directory may be)
PLEASE BACK UP YOUR ORIGINAL P09_$Gun_muzzle_flash FILE IN CASE YOU EVER WANT TO REMOVE THIS SOUND MOD BACK TO THE ORIGINAL SOUND
I hope you enjoy this mod and it adds to your experience when attacking ships on the surface. Good hunting!
