Hey y'all subsimmers,
First of all thx for downloading this first MOD for SH5 I "made"
First things first:
I'm well aware of the existing mod by johnfb. Not to think I can do it all better,
but as Klaus Doldinger so brilliantly composed the OST with one key instrument being the sub's sonar pulse,
I thought there's much more to do with it than just that one song. (even beyond Das Boot's OST!)
So here's the result...
This mod works with SH5's vanilla version (also using johnfb's mod, makes no difference)
How to install:
Simply extract the entire data folder from the zip-file directly into the game's main directory
(steam users should identify the game's main installation folder somewhere in steamapps\common)
MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR data\Sound\Music\music.cfg file FIRST!!!
I will not held be responsible for its loss.
I can give y'all a tip though:
Leave the file where it is. Just rename it as fe. "music (old).cfg"
NOTE:
This mod does NOT replace any of the vanilla version's music files.
Artistic NOTE:
I added the sonar pings in all tracks in a manner which is not typical on, in between, after or off beats.
This adds the illusion that there's "Answer from the deep" or a sense that the submarine's crew
is inside a living, animal or child-like, creature that has its own feel for the music.
Credits:
Original Composers:
Jesper Kyd - Hitman 2 Silent Assasin main theme, White Room
Derek Duke, - Ancient Temple, Deapth Charges, In the clouds,
Glenn Stafford, One with the dark blue deep, Sweet Victory, Fury
Neal Acree & Under Fire & Embark
Russell Brower (taken from Starcraft 2, includes takeouts)
And, of course,
Klaus Doldinger
Crediting is required:
Credit where credit's due:
Should you want to make videos like I have and you want to include this music,
please add my nickname to the credits.
A link would always be nice. (just for my entertainment)
For now I will leave you to yours.
Enjoy!
