Please note:
Most software houses, especially the majors, are in cahoots with the anti-virus app makers, so anything that makes changes - whether cracks, KeyGens or legit patches - can often be flagged as a virus.
Us elderly nerds call them 'False Positives' and despite being harmless, they can make people think twice before installing mods (or KeyGens, cracks etc) which proves how effective they are.
I'm not suggesting for a moment that it's not possible to pick up a nasty piece of code from a mod, I'm just saying that in all of the (Donkey's) years I've been in SubSim, I've yet to come across anything to worry about.
