Is it just me or does this tool really corrupt processed files, being it extracting, adding or replacing?

Extracting? Can't corrupt a file, as it only writes data from the original file into an uncompressed version. You can simply delete extracted files after listening to them, it cannot affect the original file in the archives. It's still there. Close the editor, nothing happened. I don't know though if it can compress them properly, e.g. when you edited them and want to overwrite the original versions. I don't do that anyway. I just listen and compare with what mods do and then decide if I want to install the mod or not. So, no clue for adding, replacing if that works.
