Adak is reinforced by US and Canadian forces after the Attu evacuation, but a large IndoChine invasion is in progress. Operating from their newly conquered islands of Attu and Kiska, the IndoChine strike force threatens the survival of the US mission on Adak.
Allied forces must repel the invasion and prevent the IndoChine Alliance from securing a complete grip on the Northwest Pacific, which would threaten the US mainland and Allied supply of Japan.
Adak is the frontline position for Allied forces in the Aleutians. It has been hastily fortified with available troops and equipment from Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine reserves out of Alaskan and Canadian bases - including some old A-6 Intruders and A-7E Corsairs.
The SeaBees have performed miracles in expanding airstrips and base facilities. Dutch Harbor can provide some backup, but it lies nearly 400 miles to the east. With Attu and Kiska lying firmly in the control of Indochine forces, Adak must hold out against any and all attacks in order to protect the northern flank of the United States and Canada
