Description
Here are my video tutorials for the various versions of OLC GUI. You may need to install the DivX codecs (www.divx.com) to be able to view them.
  • Players using OLC 'Gold' for GWX3 should watch both videos.
  • Players using OLC GUI Special for GWX2 should watch both videos.
  • Players using OLC GUI 1.2.7 should watch only the main video; you can skip the OLC GUI Special video.
Players using OLC 'Gold' or OLC GUI Special, please take note: the videos do not cover the use of the marking lines in the UZO. Those lines allow you to get the range to a target by observing the number that corresponds to the top of a ship's mast and multiplying that number by the mast value in the recognition manual. The resulting number is the range to the target, in metres. This is intended to simulate the real-life ability of the watch crew to estimate the range visibly (or using hand-held range-finding tools) and so it is, by design, somewhat innacurate at very long range.

Many thanks for these greats videos !

But as english is not my native language (french) I have heard and read again and again these videos in slow reading...

Just one thing have not well understood : in the main video tutorial OLC GUI (not the Gold video part) at the video time 25:18 you say you set the angle of bow in the TDC before switching in the attack disk and it is said that as the bow of the target boat is moving away from you must substract the angle on bow read on the befinder tool from ????!!! then I'm not able to understand from what 50 degrees angle on bow must be substracted.

Can someone tell me from what we must substract the 50 degrees AOB ?

And a few elapsed time away in the video you have yourself correct the error of AOB setting in TDC correcting the 150 degrees AOB to 130 degrees AOB on the attack disk.

What I need to be sure is when the target is moving away, to find the right AOB of the target, after reading the AOB value on the befinder tool, from what I must substract the AOB value.

Best regards
Gerard
