radar DMC - Dot Mod Custom 0.4a-2 RELEASE

Ok this is under Downloads / Cold Waters / Gameplay mods

"THIS first mod will be the none AUDIO version first"

DMC - Dot Mod Custom 0.4a-2

------------------------------------------------------------------------
This a throw back to when i use to make my Older Mods for Coldwaters

it Changes a a Few things in DotMod:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.) MAXIMUM CONDITIONS DISPLAY DEPTH

Maximum Conditions Display Depth is now 36000 ft Or 10973 Meters so that,s the max depth of real world oceans & you will all ways be able to find the sea floor

2.) NEW SEA FLOOR LOOK & TUBE WIRE GRAPHICS & SIGNATURE PANELS

New Sea Floor look added as before it was just a line like the Surface line & ive made a new generic Tube wire as to better match the variety of vessels the player uses

Ive also removed the English writing from both signature Panels as if you using Russian as this looks wrong Of course.

3.) NEW MAX SET DEPTH IN PANEL VALUES

Ability to set Depth Below 3000 on depth settings to a max of 36000 ft or 10973 Meters

4.)RESIZED BEARING TAPE SCALE

Ive reduced the bearing compass scale from 2,2 to 1.2,1.2 as it was a bit large

5.)HIDDEN ENEMY SENSOR VALUES.....................

as you wont know the enemy's sensor levels it will also mean using the identification book to look up what sensors are equipped on the various contacts to gauge their sensor capability's

this plus experience of the vessels over time will give a good added depth to judging when you are in danger of being detected

also you will need to take in to account the conditions more so etc ;

is their a thermal layer & Duct how loud is the back ground ocean noise

how close is the ocean floor & how loud your own vessel is

as these factors will matter in how close you can safely get without fear of being detected

as not knowing what the enemy can see Sensor wise will make it harder to know when you in danger of being Detected

(_THEIRS ALSO A OPTION to still show the Enemy sensor values if you want to in the install folders_)

6.) CHANGED COLORS.............

So a brighter 2 Tone Blue Text for Various Panels

Enemy missile launches on map now show as white to represent Smoke at launch or

the weapon breaking the surface if its a sub firing it

Enemy Depth bombs now show as white to represent them hitting the water

Enemy contacts now show as red and the Mark Target Colors are Light Blue & Dark Blue

So dark blue for marking contacts & Light Blue for Tactical stuff you need to Mark and see Easy

7.) ADJUSTED MAXIMUM ERROR RATING FOR CONTACTS............

So they have less error from were they actually are when you get them to a high solution

8.) TACTICAL MAP CHANGED........

The Tactical Map how shows a Grid and no range rings or range numbers
as on some resolutions this is off the noise is still shown tho

9.) CUSTOM CONFIG

this MOD has my custom Config as well for better Realism Data Wise

ive also restored the (TestDepthAddition * 1.5) which affects the crush depth to

the original Cold waters 1.5 rating so

take test Depth then times by 1.5 then -1.75 to get result ect

skipjack test depth on my game is 950 then times X this by 1.5 = 1,425 then -

1.75 so crush depth is 1,423 FEET

so a sturgeon with test depth of 1320 feet will crush at about 1,978 feet

REMEMBER DAMAGE reduces crush depth by about 50%

my config factors sea states , rain and thermal conditions to my set levels that i

think are about right within the limitations of coldwaters data wise.

it also adjusts silent running & weapon Launch transients

"IVE ALSO LOCKED THE PLAYER & ENEMY NOISE VALUES REGARDLESS OF DIFFICULTY" to be more in line with whats shown its not perfect but a lot better now i think

"These new config settings combined with if you hide the enemy SnS Comp Data greatly improve the challenge of coldwaters and i think add to making it more realistic in my opinion."

10.)--------->>>INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS<<<---------

"FIRST OFF YOU WILL NEED DOTMOD VERSION 0.4a-2 TO BE INSTALLED BEFORE USING THIS"

"This Install was made for people that have installed DotMod with JSGME in mind but will work with other install Methods."

their are 4 Files in the ZIP... theirs a Override folder that you place in the streaming assets folder :

this is were your cold waters EXE file is the Easy way to find this is to RIGHT CLICK on your cold waters icon on your desktop with mouse the go to Open file location

then this folder path : ColdWaters_Data\StreamingAssets

their should be 2 other files in their also :

default & dotmod so after you copy it will be 3

default
dotmod
override

if you want to not use the mod simply remove the Override Folder from the streaming assets folder

their are 3 Csharp Edits In a Folder Called C Sharp Files "ONE MODS WITH SNS COMP SHOWN" / "ONE MODS WITH SNS COMP NOT SHOWN" / "ONE REMOVES THE MODDED C SHARP AND PUTS BACK THE ORIGINAL FILE"

so :

Modded Assembly-CSharp = my changes but with enemy sensors "SHOWN"

Modded Assembly-CSharp - SnS Comp Hide = my changes but with enemy sensors "NOT SHOWN"

Original Assembly-CSharp = The original Game file for restoring it to DotMod

Choose the one you want to use then copy the folder in to the main coldwaters folder so same as above but just copy the folder straight in as the directory's are laid out to find the TARGET file

so as a example if you wanted "Modded Assembly-CSharp - SnS Comp Hide" one you would open the "C Sharp Files" Folder in the ZIP... then open the Modded Assembly-CSharp - SnS Comp Hide folder YOU would then copy the ColdWaters_Data FOLDER

and paste that in to the main ColdWaters folder and replace when prompted

this is were your cold waters EXE file is the Easy way to find this is to RIGHT CLICK on your cold waters icon on your desktop with mouse the go to Open file location

to remove you simply do that exact same but select the :

Original Assembly-CSharp Folder then copy the "ColdWaters_Data" FOLDER IN THAT.
