The above song is sort of a "Diss Track", as they are called nowadays, but it reminded me of what could arguably be the greatest "Diss Track" of all time, penned and recorded some 60 years ago...






...I don't really know who Dylan was singing about, but I'd say he roasted them with a very deep burn...

I'm posting this just because I needed some morning music noise; great piano work by the late, great Ian Stewart and Jack Nitzsche providing the engine powering the track, all guitars by Keith, and harp by Brian Jones...

There's a name that deserves its own deep dive.

He partnered up with Neil Young many times and there are all sorts of stories of Jack just showing up at a studio with a car full of rare guitars and other instruments. You can also see him on stage with Neil during the ill-fated Trans (Vocoder) tour that started out with Crazy Horse but by the half way point it was just Neil, Nils Lofgren, Carmen Appice (I think?) and the bass player from The Byrds.
