I searched the forms did anyone figure this out?

the game-source matters not.
it is buried in one of the save files.
you change it once per career and it stays that way for remainder of the career.
how do you change it? how adept are you with a text editor such as Notepad, which is part of the Windows OS?

I looked and still did not see it. Yes everything opened with Notepad just fine.

Then I read that the submarines could only have so may of each type.

So I decided not to screw with the programing.

look \data\cfg\SaveGames\
sort by datemodified.
open the latest folder.
there are two lines of text in the ActiveUserPlayerUnits.upc file.
