Does WAC change the .sim files in the Submarines directory?

I think so because you get the subtorpedeo error thingy.

Well then, I can only explain what to do then.

Open the individual Data\Submarine\NSS_Uboat{XX}\NSS_Uboat{XX}.sim with SH3ditor and change the following;

IMPORTANT!! First create a backup of the .sim file you're about to edit!

6: unit_Submarine -> obj_Hydro -> Debug
Mass needs to be 0,1 lower than Surface Displacement
gc_height = variable** (2,5 works for all subs but is particularly ideal for VII)
This setting affects side-rolling, so it doesn't feel as if the submarine is on rails. Higher number means more rolling. A good rule of thumb is to set this close to (Surface Draught /2). That is Surface Draught divided by two, rounded up to nearest 10th.

6: unit_Submarine -> obj_Hydro -> Debug -> Surfaced
Draught needs to be increased by 0,3 (type II, VII and XXI) and 0,2 (type IX)
6: unit_Submarine -> obj_Hydro -> Debug -> Surfaced -> Drag
UD=0,25 (0,20 for a "light" version)

Do this for all the playable submarines, and the fix is complete. Alternatively only mod the ones you're going to use, like I would if I weren't releasing it for download.

I actually can't play Silent Hunter without "Ship Camera" pointed at my Submarine during travel. It's almost as fun to watch the boat catch the waves as it is to encounter a contact. Particularly so with the tweaks I've come up with, which is the reason I obsessed about the surface behavior in the first place. I don't really dislike any of the subs, I just happen to love Type VII. After installing the German Uboat Compilation (and the type VII addon) I completely forgot all about SH5.

I haven't changed LR-drag at all. But I used screenshot from VIIB which probably has 0,25 as default. I should've just "blacked out" the parmeters I didn't touch, perhaps.

If I haven't already mentioned it, anyone is free to use this "mod" as they see fit, of course. Use it, abuse it and tweak it as you wish.

I honestly don't have time to test all the other subs at the moment. Sorry!

PS. I do believe that type VII were the only sub suffering from the vastly increased side-rolling. So it's entirely possible that just overwriting version 1.0 with the Type VII-fix will equal (more or less) the final build.

Yesterday i used this versión and on Surface all goes quite well, not having the sub coming almost all the time to 10 meters Deep, till here nice.
But i have encountered a very big problema, my sub was not able to dive, used crash dive command, marking different deeps in the Deep meter or using the dive key, none of those has any effect, the sub remains surfaced.

Using SH3 with GWX gold, and a Little list of mods, but none of them conflicto with this one.

sub tipe was VIIB.

Any ideas?

Now i am using v1.0 and my Uboot goes underwater nice, perhaps a Little slower tan without this mod activated.

Also have seen nice riding over waves with heavy wind.

So till now all goes really nice.
