So other issues aside it has become apparent that there is a stock
mp bug for deckguns where if you order weapons free the gunners shoot friend and foe alike. my plan is to have weapons tight target designation for MP engagements with no open fire order in the gun crew orders they should only engage ships you indicate I hope. any body with experience at mp got any insights on this. was overconfident didnt defeat radar issue.
 |
just why do u not like the IXD2 though, as its not much different than the IXB/C apart from it shape -i dont mind the IXB/C boats will choose them over the VII's, just when the IXD2 turns up i grab it. They have a slightly longer hunting range & using SH3 commander i make my patrols out to the Caribbean area - alot of loan ships to hunt & less destroyers to evade.
And serious answer please no, they're for pussies etc., |

But sometimes i found if i manned the deckgun myself fired of a few shots then let the crew take over they would continue firing at the same target, its when that target has sunk and they look for another you have to watch out they will target the next closest target - friend or foe. Keep in mind I haven't played MP for ages so this bug might be fixed. |

its that I like to taunt. all type ix hulls are the same hull in sh3 just whats in em changes. originally looked at IXd2 for uber basis but as uber was being beefed up and re equipped and as IXB was already available for campaign start I used it instead. I just love to tease MM |

which is how I found out about it. as we havent done up the mp nission yet. |
Survey
Q: what should be included in Uberboot final.
guns speed and armour obviously. but I mean is it worth finishing ubercrew (fully qualified) is it worth including the elite crew uniforms that I posted yesterday (crtsy venatore) What about paint should skins be included (skins are tough to come by as tower is a custom paintjob) should all ships and aircraft included in missions be included to guarantee compatability I could use ideas and suggestions from those of you who have uber. http://www.ussredfin.com/ss-272/pana...ogalveston.htm Im trying to put together an interview with Finbacks dad Dean Adams who was a commisioning member of her crew and served aboard Redfin for the Duration of her seven WW2 patrols as a torpedoman including the longest contiguos journey by a sub prior to the advent of nuke boats. Dean was one of the two guys who worked on the paintjob displayed on the webpage. once ive got a bit of it assembled I intend to post it for posterity on the SH4 thread. MM |
Excellent.
Really interesting site. Thanks. |
In an aside
am I the only person? Once you look past its performance issues. did anybody else think the bell P39 aircobra was a brilliant design.? MM |

On the other hand my favourite is P-38 Lightning. Beautiful, brave design and very versatile. I love that plane. P.s. In Jersey where i live we've got an annual air display. Check this out: http://www.jerseyairdisplay.org.uk |
